Scotland on Screen is easy to explore and use

There are over two hundred film clips to watch online. If you are logged-in, you can also download and use higher resolution video files for educational purposes within Scottish schools. Each film comes with a record about the film about the film and interesting activity ideas for use in the classroom or at home.

You can find films either by looking through the ‘Browse’ list or by entering a simple keyword like ‘Health’, ‘Carpet’, ‘Maths’ or ‘Shipbuilding’ into the ‘Search‘ box in the banner and clicking ‘Go’.

There is an ‘Advanced Search’ facility accessible from the banner or via the left-hand navigation. There are also numerous 'Feature resources' about specific groups of films within the collection or curricular subjects.

You can also link to similar films through the ‘Related records’ and other blue-texted hyperlinks in the ‘Record details’ section of each record page.
