Description
A selection of topical films made in the early years of the 20th century looking at life in Glasgow. The compilation was produced by C. A. Oakley around 1940 from original nitrate films he discovered in the 1930s. This clip shows street scenes and trams in Springburn with families parading past the camera and a trip to Rouken Glen park with a picnic and includes girls racing and skipping.
