  • Print All

Description

A selection of films from Glasgow in the early years of the Twentieth Century. The film was produced by C. A. Oakley around 1940, and compiled from original nitrate films he discovered in the 1930's. This particular clip features a procession arranged to celebrate the Jubilee year of the Glasgow trams (1872 - 1922). Although horse trams had not been used for twenty years, two were brought out for the occasion by Glasgow Corporation.
