Description

Art and Design: Design a contemporary wedding dress and complementary outfits for the rest of the wedding party.

English: Write a Best Man's speech for one of your classmates.

RME / PSE: Debate the idea and importance of marriage in modern society. Compare the idea of romantic marriage with that of arranged or open marriages.

Art and Design / Enterprise: Put on a fashion show with a specific theme with costumes designed and made by the students. You need to consider publicity, advertising, technical equipment, seating, health and safety, canapé sales, the photography and filming of the event, DVD orders, etc.

Art and Design / Modern Studies / Health and Wellbeing: Research women's fashion magazines and analyse the different messages that they put forward about fashion and beauty. When are these ideas fun and when do they become obsessive and unhealthy. (Extension: Compare and contrast female magazines for different age-groups)
