RME: Research the similarities and differences between the Muslim and Christian religions and write an essay that also looks into how they came into being and which other religions influenced their development.

RME / Art & Design: The film talks about the structure of the building and the importance of the minaret. Research the architecture, main features and symbolism of religious buildings.

Maths / Art & Design: Traditionally Muslims were not allowed to depict the human form and therefore developed sophisticated patterns and mosaics. Research the mathematical ideas that underpin their work on shape and patterns.

RME / PSE: The film talks about the high moral code of the Muslim religion. Discuss current moral standards within Western society and devise a moral code that you think we should follow.

RME / Citizenship: Different religions worship in different types of buildings, discuss whether or not they should have separate educational establishments as well.
