Description
A wartime propaganda film on the benefits of saving household waste to feed pigs and provide cheap food. The film is to encourage more people to feed pigs from household waste to create cheaper pork for people at home and the soldiers fighting the war. This clip features Land Girls feeding pigs with bracken, roots and nettles; shots of soldiers feeding the pigs; Intertitle: " You can provide Pork and Beans for the Boys in the Trenches"; shots of soldiers in the trenches smoking cigarettes and eating from mess tins; Intertitle: "Household Waste. Save it and breed Pigs; Collect it and feed Pigs; Use it to beat Pigs - The ones in Germany"; illustration of the Kaiser.
